Cragar SS Lug Nuts for my '66 Barracuda

Yeah, those look like they take the shank nuts. I bought the ones that take the acorn style lug nuts.

You guys read the wheel description? Shank style lug nuts, Shank Length .767 Shank Diameter .592

FWIW, OP needs to know what works so he doesn't buy the wrong lugs when sourcing.
My stash includes shorter lugs, 5/8" shank I believe, that were the standard issue back in the '70s. Three of these even have a lead on them. They were notorious for loosening up.

IMO, the 9004s (long shank in picture) aren't all that much better either. The washer face on the lugs is too small and deforms the washers over time........

Now if the OP must have 9005s, is he SOL on such as 9004s above?
If we know what the difference is (or is not) maybe the OP can use 9004s and it open up options. The only thing I see "special" between the two in Summit's description is the same alert for the wheel in the bottom line........

The 9004's are left hand

So the threads on my studs are 7/16-20 for certain. I'm going to HF for an inside mic to measure the wheel lug holes for sure and will let you guys know for sure. FWIW, I think the newer Cragars use different tooling than the vintage ones and so the sizes seem to be different. My '65 Dart studs with original Cragars are completely different size.

If you are desperate, you could get some stock mag shank lugs, and turn down the o.d. of the shank, on a lathe. Ive done it. You would need anti-sieze on the now naked shanks.

Problem is you can’t get either one. They are all on boats.

I like McGards. Many are still American made. All those I've used on many cars in the last 30 years have held up very well. Cragar nuts always got rusty on me.

Same problem, shank diameter is too big. I ordered the correct ones from Summit on back order. They say January but I'm not holding my breath. Good news is I'm still doing body and paint anyway so I'm in no hurry other than to see what they look like on the car.

Looks like you'll have time then. I saw the difference, but thought .087" difference might work in a used wheel. If you get stuck, you could hone the wheel with some coarse sandpaper, and use the nut with the slightly larger shank.

Yeah I could make em work, but like I said, no hurry.
