The stock 360 cast crank is so strong that you don't need a forged crank unless you're producing ~ 600 bhp. Chrysler's metallurgy and casting techniques were light-years ahead of Ford and GM, plus they enlarged the crank's main journals (huge!) when they designed the 360. I have never heard of one breaking. That's why there's (I think) only one forged crank available in the aftermarket: there was just no consumer demand for a forged crank.
I'm running a built 360 in my '62 Valiant with the cast crank, and have had absolutely no problems. I don't know how many horsepower my engine produces, but it must produce quite a bit because the car will pop a wheelie.
