Craps out at 50mph

My '72 Dart Swinger ( 6 cyl) runs fine at lower speeds but when I get it on the Thruway and get up to 50 or so it sputters and dies. Get back to 25 or so it runs fine again. Vacume? Help please!

I would guess there is a fuel delivery problem, and you are running out of fuel at higher rpm. Look for crap in carburetor’s main jet, plugged fuel filter, bad fuel pump, plugged fuel line, crap in tank plugging filter sock at fuel pick-up, all or any of above. Don’t overlook decomposed flexible (old rubber) fuel lines braking down adding to the mess.

Start at carburetor, and work your way back to the tank.

Pull it off and dump it out backwards.(if it's the filter you'll see it)
Also chk for more than one.
