Crawdads are here!

-
Shoot I eat em 20 lbs at a time.
Going to an all you can eat mud bug party and dance tommorrow. I can probably polish off 4 or 5 of the cardboard case boxes full in the 2 hours they are serving. Crawdads have it made. They get their tails pinched and their heads sucked. lol

Do I hear a challenge DD? LOL Have fun at the festival and have a couple pounds for me.

Everytime I hear crawdads, I think about the Beverly Hillbillies episode where Grannie and Jethro are smoking crawdads. http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jZgDHCt0-sc

By the way, is that a Mopar in the closing shot?

Glad you enjoyed your crawdads.

BlindSquirrel

Good one BlindSquirrel! I have never seen that one. I just said to Mary "Check out the Dodge at the end." Looks like a 66 something.

Mike and Creed are checking on the DADS in Paragould for me. Looks like i'll head down that way next saturday morning and grab some for a big boil next saturday afternoon. Thanks for the reminder guys. A lot better than frozen ones.

You guys are making me hungry. Growing up in Arkansas I have had my share of crawdads, but it has been about 15 years. I may have to order some and once again show my wife's family just how redneck I am. :toothy10:

A friend of mine has a pond his father use to raise them in, How to catch them
Chicken wire shaped like a vase big at the bottom about 12 inches across and a 4 inch hole at the top, but a small portion of raw chicken meat in side and attach a string to it and drop it in the water, come back about 8 hours later and the basket will have them in there, there is a salt water tank you let them set in for a short time to let them puke up a little then you season and boil

Looks like alot of work to me.These are easier to eat and I never eat the under body. Was told by the eastcoasters, thats their chitsac?Enjoy HC!

We set a long table up and get our water boiling and then throw in the boil seasoning. Throw in the new potatoes with the short corn on the cob then the live crawfish. In just a matter of minutes you have some real viddles. Dump the whole pile out on the table and dont get between me and the table. I like mine with plenty of cheyene pepper so goes the need for a good cold beer.
