Crazy people in Wisconsin skipping snowmobiles

Strange. Some have no shot of making it, not sure why they would even try. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

Looks like the only shot you have is to keep her pegged
If you hesitate, your sunk

Know what makes me nervous?
Seeing several thousand pounds of Wisconsin redneck standing on a sheet of ice that is only feet away from open water

Especially on the east side of my screen, where the snowmobiles pound as they clear the water

I kept watching that movie thinking that at any moment a crack would appear and half the town of nowheresville WI would disappear into the river

Must have plenty of money to waste.

The guys on the show Last Stop Garage did that. Seemed popular with Canadians

Cool, crazy stuff! We were out snowmobiling in Dorset 15 years ago and watched one of our buddies go thru. Long story, funny but scary at the time for a minute or 2. The buddy(Gerald) who went thru was in about 16' of water. Cost him $1000 to get salvage guy to pull it out.
Guy in this video is insane. At the 47 second mark you see a guy on shore on lefthand side, that's exactly where Gerald went thru.
RIP Gerald(he didnt pass away there, but did on his 4wheeler unfortunately)

It gets awful boring here in Wisconsin in the winter... I'm guessing beer has a lot to do with it also.

That's just childs play. Here's the Weber boys (Weber tool and die - Midland) playing on Georgian Bay. When your old man can splurge for a helicopter to follow you it's no big deal if you sink one! Boys out cruising my Musky fishing route!

I've skipped water on snowmobiles. I like more speed than that first video. I like to hit the water at least doing 50 mph.

Pickerel Lake Water Skipping. Ice drags in Merrill, sturgeon spearing, all sorts of things to do when bored all winter. Make it fun, or gets depressed.

Seems all the 4 strokes barely went half way.
Hope they had a big heated tent and a change of clothes. Just in case
