Curtains for the Teutuls?

-
about time! I would never ride a bike built by someone who was always pissed off and yelling instead of paying attention to what they were working on

besides if you didn't build it it isn't really yours

Sad they are fighting about money. I heard Mikey was in rehab. Proof that lots of money does'nt bring happiness.

Oh Crap! First its John & Kate plus Eight & now Orange County Choppers. I won't miss either one. No wonder the Family unit doesn't exsist anymore.

They lost me a long time ago. Figured things weren't going to work out when Paul wanted to be a businessman and Junior wanted to be an "artist."

As for the family drama! Whew! I can go to a buddy of mine's scrapeyard and watch him and his two sons make the Tuetels look downright functional! :boxing: :axe: :violent1:

Paul Jr. is a talented fabricator with some decent ideas. Always liked Mikey. He's a goof! Paul Sr., Dude! Lay off the 'roids man!!

Glad to see the show end! I haven't watched in about a year or so anyways.

the show has been horrible for a long time now.. really bad since that idiot Jr. left the shop to open that goofy thing he is doing now. mikey is a loser, sr. a little too high strung but knows how to work his *** to build a company .. jr. had some decent ideas but is a lazy *** that needs to learn how to work.

have ya watched it lately? sr. seems sick or something., getting old and thin looking..

Good riddens. I haven't watched it in years; the last episode I watched was the one where they were going to build a chopper for the foundation for orphans that Dave Thomas, the founder of Wendy's, created. That disrespectful jacka$$ Sr had his feet on desk of the lady that runs the foundation when she entered her office. I believe this was from the second season. I guess he thought he was so important he could act like a jacka$$ to everyone. If it was me, I would have told him to get his old decrepit a$$ out of my office. I never watched another episode.

Recently I have been watching some of the first episodes on Netflix, it was a retarded show filled with ugly gimmick bikes when it first started and just got worse.

I can't wait until I trade off my project 53 for a running 57 wagon in a few weeks then get the 48 done so I can order a CFL frame or cut up an old Triumph and start building a bike. I have been planning one for too long and it is time I just built the damn thing!

Now that Jesse James has gotten over his "John Force" complex he is very humble and putting out some good videos on metal shaping. Pulse his Baja truck is badass!

Yes I know Monster garage was also retarded.

Not a fan of the air cleaner but the style is cool

Having been a professional bike builder, I watched the show trying to figure out how Sr. marketed those bikes and made the money he did. I'd still like to meet him some day. He may come off like a jerk but anyone whose spent anytime in the motorcycle business knows that this is normal, no joke. His actions aren't even close to some of my customers at the time either. Lots of tough guy A-holes. It got pretty old after about 10 years of it so I got out and changed careers. Back in the day you couldn't survive being a "nice humble guy" in this line of work. Even the mechanics would fight behind the shop. It was what it was. There were no wealthy people or celebrities other than the occasional doctor or lawyer who liked to play dress up on the weekends and tow thier bike to Sturgis.

Shortly after I got out, a bunch of celebrities started to buy the style of bikes that Sr. and Jesse were building and BOOM! Prices hit the sky. I'm pretty damn sure both these guys paid their dues before getting rich, and nothing was handed to them on a platter. I know what it's like having been in the business and having to deal with the dregs of humanity that slide in on their own grease, then trying to collect once the work is done. Jesse doesn't have "Pay UP Sucka" tattoed on his fists for nothing, lol.

I admire Jesse and the Tuetls for their ability to change things around in their favor and for their talent, even though their styles are certainly not mine. To me function IS form. Anyway, I'd really dig a chance to pick their brains and find out how they did it. I've also seen a few shows where Jesse goes in to a HS auto shop and gives away some tools (very cool and he has my respect for that).

As far as Mikey and Jr. are concerned, to be honest, I don't really care other then I hope they can survive and do well.

Probably no surprise, but I think it's kinda sad that it's going to end.

I havent watched it in maybe a year or two.
But I saw the writing on the wall back then.

Kind of ironic how if not for television, they would have never came close to what they are now. But on the same note, if not for television, they might not be suing each other and in the end falling into obscurity.

All I know is that I am at a loss as to how a father and son could end up hating each other. That's really the sad part of it all.

Hopefully they both cut the bull and grow up.
Money, all that attention etc...makes you lose sight of the fundamentals.:angry7:

Like all the other build shows, it's about personality and not the build. The soap opera aspect that the producers gin up is what sells, not the fabrication. I quit watching those shows long ago.

A lot of drama you see in a reality series is orchestrated by the producers. Conflict sells.

I quite watching years ago after they beat the crap out of the Dixie Chopper build with a mallet to align the rear.
Or when they were building the bike for Leno and opened the crate with the custome springer front end like a bunck of kids hitting a pinata.

They were hacks at times.

I will give it to Sr. He made it happen. His kids must just be spoiled.

Money doesn't buy happiness is true, look at them! Alot of wealthy people are misserable people. They where doing fine untill the nation started watching and it went to thier heads. Bye, I would like to see more chop cut and rebuild I like that one.

I quit watching that show a long time ago also......that contrived back 'n forth yelling, fighting etc. got old quick. I got the same feeling like I was watching WWF wrestling. I also thought many of their bikes were gaudy.

I liked the show in the beginning. I liked to see the builds. But the DrAmA.... oh the drama. That's what ruined the show. And when Vinnie left the show, it was all downhill from there.

The "Biker Build Off" show was better. Lots of great designs from other builders. This bike by Paul Yaffe was one of my favs. :love7: Scroll down for pics. http://www.paulyaffeoriginals.com/discoverybike/pyo-projects-ddt.htm

I actually enjoyed watching the show in the beginning, but what a difference now. You can see in tonights show that Paul sr. is sad not being with his boys, but also too stubborn to try and fix things. I wish the Tuetals well, but they are not the family of a few years ago.

The only bike that was built on that show that I liked was the old school bike that Sr. and that kid built.

I liked the show, but Paul Sr just seemed to go off on stupid stuff that didnt really matter, and he just ranted and raved. I know you need to stick to your conventions, but you dont rant and rave about small stuff, and you dont act unreasonable about it either.

Paulie acted like a spoiled brat most of the time. Came in late, worked a few minutes, then was off on some personal errand. Mikey was the comedy relief, and was always good for a laugh. I think I liked him the most.

Once they started fighting and Paulie decided he wanted to be an "artist", I quit watching the show. I didn't even know that Vinnie left. I would love to see that episode. Anyone care to explain how it happened or where he went?

It's too bad they're in court and aren't talking. My dad and his brothers were like that. They got mad over something, and didnt talk for 30 years. Then when each of them was dying, they wanted to make amends. What a waste. Time goes by too fast to act like that.

Paul Sr has a place by me in the sticks...I have seen him a few times and said hello...seems nice and all...he's a big dude in person...I liked to watch it when they were a smaller company..
