"custom" taillights opinions?

So I shaved the taillights chrome trim on my duster and had a thought to paint the lenses black so I painted one and left the other alone to get an idea. What do you think? I've also thought about coming up with some sort of black stripes like the 71/72 dusters to tie it all together

I think your black-trim effect looks sharp. I like that you kept your paintbrush off the actual, active lens area. Not like these two dillweeds.

I like the look. Did the same to my 74 Duster.

The black would work with the chrome bumper if you had either the factory black stripe or some pinstripes or something to blend the contrast between the yellow and the black

Just playing around with some tape, I think even the solid band looks good and the addition of the duster decal with the twister would really set it off

I've thought about that as well, I do have to repaint the car for the third time now, gotta learn somehow, and I will shoot the other lense when I do. I have new lenses, so I'm using the old ones as test subjects.
