Cut and buff fresh paint

Those that know me know I research things to the bone I learn of you tube videos. One thing they dont show you is what they are using. They show you how in a nut shell but dont show the products they use. Whats needed for the color sand and buffing process of new paint? Think starting with 1200 wet ive got some trash specs and runs then step to 1500 or 2000 wet... That part I think ive got down its the buffing process what compounds and pads to use?
 
Use a medium grade cut & polish, Meguiars makes it. Use a wool bonnet for that cut and polish.
For the final buffing step, use a swirl remover with a foam pad
After that wash and wax with a good wax

Make sure you have enough clear applied so you dont sand or buff through
