Given the '65 hi po GT in SoCal for $15,750, if I was in the market for an early A, I'd be heading to Nevada...

1 of 50 D/Dart for $12k. Needs a resto, but this is on my short list of cars I'd be all over if real money dropped in my lap. I wouldn't sell anything I have to own one, etiher...

Not my car. The pics in the ad are all I have seen. VIN is certainly D/Dart.

Its got rivets holding the VIN tag to the door frame. Should it not be spot welded on like all other early A's?

Not all early A VIN tags are spot welded. The one on my 66 isn't.

Why do they say it's a D stock Dart? Just because the 5th digit of VIN is a be D? That is just a 273 Vomando

VIN starts "LO". That means D/Dart in 1966. ALL 273s carried a "D" engine code in the VIN in 1966.

It has been sold. It is a real D/Dart. Has the original engine but missing the carb, spacer/adapter, air cleaner, and a few other things. No headers. Doug's D450 are similar to the originals but are not exact copies.

The “D” signifies the NHRA class that they were going to run these cars in. D/Stock

It took the new owner 22 hours to get to NV to pick up the car. He said that it was a very solid LO23 and is very happy with his investment. I'm sure he will do a top notch restoration of the car.
