went to go open the decklid of my 71 swinger to get a tool box out that I had in there.

put the key in the lid popped open and suddenly I can feel a sting under my arm and along the right side of my body and elbow side of my arm.

The pain set in, then the shock, then the realization of what just happened.

Some bees are going to die :mob: This after running into a different nest a few weeks ago that was hiding between the door and fender line on my 72 demon

that's just karma for not driving your cars often enough to keep them from nesting in there

Use a flamethrower! Boric acid is great just dust the cars down with it in all the areas. Just washes off when needed.

Sorry that happened to you. Hope you are not allergic to them. I wouldn't ever wish that kind of "karma" on anybody.

 Sorry & very brave of you to stay & take the pictures. Be careful.....

when I opened the lid, I stirred them up unknowingly and got stung.

I left the lid open and the picture was like 40 minutes later after they calmed down. My cousin took the picture and then proceeded to exterminate them for me.

Those are Hornets... They can keep stinging more than once...

I've found some of them around here in my cars... I have one more nest to get rid of that I was told about yesterday...

six times under my arm and on my side

Ouch!

If you feel dizzy or woozy, go to the Dr...

Even if you are not allergic, enough stings can be serious...

I've been stung twice here in the last month.... (You didn't feel a thing....)

our hornets build in trees usually with a covering around the nest. We have yellow jackets in the ground that will eat you up when you hit their nest with a dozier. They all hurt. Those look mean and you are lucky they only got you six times. Hope they don't itch for the next week

If they were Hornets, he'd be driving an AMC... I'm pretty sure those were Super Bees...

Those are Yellow Jacket Wasps. Nasty critters. Yellow jacket - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

6 stings can cause a severe anaphylactic reaction up to 24 hours later. If you notice swelling, difficulty swallowing or breathing, dizziness etc. get to the Emergency Room IMMEDIATELY!

Anaphylactic reactions can result in death within minutes of onset. Do not hesitate if you even remotely think one is occurring.

my cousin did a search right after dark and found a dilapidated box in my engine shed and in the flap was this nest and he killed them all without getting stung once.

we counted over 100 dead bees.

We have Japanese hornets moving in down here. VERY big and VERY nasty. They keep coming after you. And before you ask, yes, they are real.

**** like this makes me glad to live up north. Yes we got your regular bees, hornets, mosquitos, etc. But they are gone for half the year. And we definitely don't get any super hornets! I will take rattlesnakes, 1000+ pound grizzlies, 150 pound mountain lions and the -30c before wind chill cold over those hornets.

Glad you're ok Rani! Hornets are bastards to deal with. Hope you got them all.

I'm pretty sure you need to destroy any trace of the honeycombs too or they will return...:elmer:

Nasty bugs for sure!!
