is acting up. 2005 Impala. I need to change fuel pump. Other years, and even some cars same year has access panel to get to fuel pump. Mine however don't have it. So, question is, has anyone here dropped the fuel tank to change fuel pump for very similar car? Tried YouTube, no luck there as it don't have it. Another thought was to just cut a hole where pump is located, but if I grind it, I'm right over tank...... Open to suggestions.

It's not that bad to do! I did it twice on my 1987 GMC Jimmy.

Cars with an access panel usually have a captured tank. Rear suspension is in the way of dropping the tank.

The tank is easy enough to drop. Especially if you have an empty tank.

Haven't had a chance to look at it yet. Will be going out there now to eyeball it, too dark last night.
