Dambest carbs, anyone using one

I was looking at boosters, trying to figure out what I want to do for a carb for my 470, I ran across the dambest shear booster video on YouTube.
It's a very interesting design, he also makes a real nice billet main body and other parts, uses all reinvented carb parts.
Well I'm just wondering what any of you know 1st hand from ownership & real comparison vs typical-traditional 4150 carbs.
That being said I am also leaning heavily to blp 850 builder kit specifically & adding a 16 hole annular booster, Average flow of 1060 with their downleg.

What's interesting about the Dambest carb is the emulsion well design and booster outlet. From what I could tell from the design is that his approach is to increase mixture quality with a threaded main well and then distribution and homogenization with booster outlet design. Might be worth a try.

Id personally go for the 850 and play with booster hole sizing and number to see what your engine likes. The real difference might be in the Tslot.

Maybe try Mark Whitener for a carb. At the least he'll get you the T-slot right as well as the emulsion package then you can play around with booster hole sizing and numbers to see what your engine really likes.

His carbs are most focused on very high volume fuel flow for methanol and boosted apps. We’re talking 2500-3000 hp blow through boosted stuff. His booster designs are interesting though. I’ll have to look for more info on those.

He has NA carbs. You have to ask because I don’t think he actually puts them on the web page.

O HALL NO! And then get ridiculed for spending more money on your used carb then a "New" off the shelf carb!!!!:rolleyes:

Now that i got my sarcasm out of the way. There is a lot of grate guys on this site, you included, that helped me through my first experience. I learned a lot. And when life gets a little less crazy, I might go after that last 20%........ Of course i could fix that last bit by simply drop down from my 6600 feet elevation to sea level:steering::rofl:

Remember that really cool dude yellow rose, he gave me a 1050 dominator in pieces. I was able to put that all together, I haven't tested it out but it works in its mechanical sense
 
I used a Pro Systems 1000 4150 carb on my 470 stroker. 2 1/2 tenths faster than an AED 750. Kim

Something up to gain that much with a carb swap. 2.5 tenths on a typical bracket motor is probably 50 horsepower.
I used to work with Patrick( Pro systems) years ago.
He gifted me ( to test) a 750, 1000cfm and an 1100 dominator, these along with a 1025 race demon I already owned. This on a well proven 9 sec small block.
None of the carbs..worst to first made more than 10-12 hundreds difference. 1025 race Demon I had and the Dominator led the way. I bought the dominator, sold my 1025 race demon( one of the dumbest things I have ever done) gave the two 4150’s back. Should have given back all three and kept running that Demon.
 
It’s packed away right now cause I’ll be running a 1250 on my new motor when I get it built.I’ll see if I can find some pics. Don’t think these will help u any. Kim

Yup, one of the highest race tracks around.
That's pretty freaking cool, I used to live at sea level for most of my life, I'm up to 1830 feet now.my home track is 1000 feet I believe but in a dessert.

Lots of health benefits from living in higher altitudes.
 
I ran a Braswell 4825 (4150 style) on my W8 mill for the first 3-4 years. It was 1.48 venturi 1.79 throttle blades. Got into the high 9.3’s with it.
