I run my wires under the headers to keep the heat off, that way they can sag some and not get on the header.

My engine bay is a mess I've slowly been cleaning it up, re doing wiring ect. Since I got the car, I still have a way to go.
And the plug wire boots will be melted and turn to powder before long. Some 90° boots might help there.Ps- those things get hot and it melted the thermal insulating tape right off!

If they are real close to the pipes the sleeves burn up too.
Looks like you have plenty of wire there.
I ran into the same problem with my setup. I bought a pair of 90's from summit and used a pair of heat sleeves I picked up at the Pomona swap meet. I dont know what you guys have for swap meets in vegas, but we are spoiled down here. Pomona and Long Beach happen almost every month.
You’re near Vegas? They have several, there’s even a big Mopar Event every summer out there, like Mopars at the Strip or something similarI don't know if we have car swap meets, I've never heard of one. I'm at napa picking up 90's now. I'll see if they have any sleeves too!
I had a tire blow out today so I got some new shoes on the Renegade. It's bright green, I went for a black one but my kids wanted the green one so I had to get it. I'm cool if my kids think I'm cool!

Yep that sucked, now the car doesn't even want to start. It cranks and no fire, then fires for a split second and cuts out. Fires up again a little later then gave it a little gas and instant shuts off.
don't overlook something obvious, make sure you got gas, not gonna tell you why I am saying this LOL
... Maybe the new distributor cap needs to be advanced/retarded idk. Maybe I don't deserve a Mopar because I can't diagnose why I have no start
The cap only goes on one way! To advance or retard timing you have to loosen the distributor clamp. You can't change the timing by moving the cap. Check to make sure the cap is on correctly, as it's possible you may not have it indexed correctly, yet still managed to clamp it down? Also look for possible disconnected/damaged wires at the coil/distributor.
Could you try running the plug wire(s) under the header?
Good job getting it running! Sometimes it's a real aggravating experience but once you see the smiles (whether they're 5 or 18) ,it's worth it in the end. Fabricating stuff up is the name of the game with these cars.
