Check this out... I made something useful out of thing a ma jig that wasnt useful. My lower rod wasnt correct for the shifter on the transmission. @Stephen Mulkey was kind enough to send me a picture of his lower rod... and describe how it bends... (get your minds out of the gutter :poke::rofl:). Used my cut off wheel, this holder thing attached to one of my garage racks and my big muscles to make a functional lower rod with the correct bends to work with my floor shifter.

@Tooljunkie I have a lever for a 727 but this one seems to work with proper adjusting.

I also bought some L-brackets from Lowes to be used as front mounting brackets. I had to drill out the mounting holes to 1/4in to run bolts through
I'll probably cut the portion that mounts to the floor in half so it can mount more level.

Hello, doc! Nice work on the car. Has it occurred to you that as you progress with your project, you will have eventually fixed everything and all you will have left to do is drive the thing?

This is very true... im going to lose my mind when that happens... There is a silver lining to it though...besides going back through the brakes everything I do from here on out wont take the car off the road!

And that's a good thing. Maybe you, the wifey, and your kids can actually start enjoying it. Maybe hit some local car shows and cruises. The proverbial light at the end of the tunnel. And not an oncoming train either lol.

Midnight Madness at the Strip.......bring it.....less see what it runs...lol

I dont know...track has not reopened....I think you have plenty of time to get it fixed....

Ah I thought you had heard something which is why you brought it up.

By the time it opens you'll have your stroker finished to install in a car and you can run that one too!

STOP POSTING AND FIX YOUR CAR!!!!

I was hanging with the baby while momma was working out then we ate some dinner. I just set the console on but it really needs the front brackets on so there isnt any interference with the shifter. I'll try to get those on tomorrow. I dont think I can weld those little L brackets that are "zinc plated"

You can weld over the zinc it just smells worse.

Got it all in. Ended up using smaller 2in L brackets.

I dont understand the drivers side cut out and my carpet could look a little better.

Just checked for pictures.too dark to tell.

I had carpet on the console, I took it off to clean and paint the bottom portion of the console. Looks like I should have enough carpet still.

Looks like all you need is the pair woodgrain decals. Jim Fillmore at DMT gives a Fabo discount on his products if you buy from him direct. He also makes that sticker in a carbon fiber look.

I was actually looking at vinyl overlays to do the center console and tops of the door cards. I'm not a huge fan of the woodgrain overlay, I really like the chrome look. Maybe next year... when I redo the seats, my foam is absolute garbage just flakes apart and gets yellow nasty foam flakes everywhere...

I also want to figure out a radio situation at some point that way I don't have to carry around the bluetooth speaker all the time.
