I purchased brand new bezels, and the bezel for the gauges has to have the clear plastic face removed from the old bezel and installed on the new bezel.

anyone removed this before and swapped it over to the new bezel?

Thanks!

That is lousy that it doesn't have the plastic.

As for removing the OEM one.

You will need to remove the melted stakes with out damaging the clear.

I have several cluster bezels if things go south.

Thanks Dana!

Well first attempt didn’t work… I think it was glued at some point though.

I have 1 more attempt… but I think I’ll end up buying the 150 clear face… or some 20 dollar plexiglass on Amazon.

I have 1 more bezel in good shape. But I’d hate to destroy another one. That one I was going to save it and put in my purple car.

Doc...

Yours free pm me your name and address.

It's not perfect but a headlight polishing kit might polish out the light scratches.

Not sure I would use the 3000 grit or lower sand paper.

But the polishing liquid and the foam ball ( mother's headlight kit) and a light touch.
