Dash Bezel Paint: 63 Valiant

The plastic bezel on my 63 Valiant is pretty worn, and I would like to repaint it. My dad thinks it should be painted Argent, a matte chrome, but I think it may actually be a chrome. Anyone know the correct finish/paint that should be on the 63 dash bezel?

hmmmmmm. now only if i can track down a vacuum metallizer. jk
you know if that vacuum metallizer gave the bezel a shiny chrome finish or more of a matte finish?
 
Vacuum metallisation is a shiny, chromelike finish. Some bezels and other trim parts finished that way go through additional steps -- matte spray on certain areas, black paint on certain areas, etc. There are various companies that do dash bezel refinishing. A favorite of many on here, CV Plating, is no longer in business and is sending people here. Or there is this outfit that doesn't advertise specifically to the dash-restoration crowd, but does excellent and fast work. Or if you want to try a do-it-yourself approach, see here.
