Try an abrasive eraser Follow up with some electrical cleaner from the store

works great !!!!!!!!!

Also read this old thread..........

Printed circuit pins repair

There are several things that need attention..........

Check/ repair the cluster connector pins

Check/ repair the IVR socket and replace the IVR with a solid state one That is detailed in the thread I posted........the IVR terminals in the board sometimes do not make contact with the board traces

Loosen/ tighten the gauge studs several times to scrub off corrosion. Consider replacing the nuts with "real" ones

Add a ground pigtail from the cluster and bolt it to the column support

w

will Vinegar work? I will try the alcohol, just happen to have some on the shelf behind me!
I wouldn't. It will 'work' but maybe a bit too good. I usually only go to acids like that if I know I can completely clean/rinse/neutralize.

tear off a tiny bit of scotchbrite and brasso. then wipe with qtip and alcohol
