some have woodgrain all the way across and some are plain with bezal for glove box lock /radio and heater controls

They didn't have the rally dash in 73. I think 72 was the last year for that type of dash. 73 & 74 are the same

Are you sure ? A friend of mine just bought a 72 340 4spd duster. If I remember right it has the rally dash.

Not from the factory it didn't, not even the 340 cars. '71 was the last year for the rallye dash. '72+ dash frames are the same. Few minor changes to the cluster, but that was about it (fasten seat belt light, etc).
