I have a 1970 Dart Swinger. It's a clone Swinger I found out when I removed the dashboard. I want to swap out the original dash that was in the car when I bought it. I ordered a few dashboards from various sellers only to find out the dash that was in my Dart is dated September 1971, while my Dart is a 1970!
I've looked almost everywhere for a rally dash but can't seem to find one that fits my car! I'm not sure the dash that came with it is even an A body. Does anyone have any suggestions? The first picture is of the original that came in the car.
Thanks!

The casting part of that cluster certainly looks A body to me. I've had mine apart enough times to recognize that one easily. The front is different than what I'm used to seeing, but guessing that's just a later model thing (I've only played with the 67-69 style stuff). Not sure what it takes to swap a rally dash though as to me it seems like the metal structure of the frame in the car itself almost needs to be different based on where the gauges on the rally dash are. Maybe it's just an optical illusion to me, but I though the rally stuff had gauges that were mounted lower and would interfere with the structure in the car unless you cut it out.

I have three complete 1970 swinger/Duster 340 rally dashes complete with frames and wire harness. If interested I can get one out of the trailer for pictures. With or without pad , With or without radio. They were 4 speed cars so all the frames have the reverse lights. I have three total. You look close enough to pick it up. Pa. NJ. border

I don't think any Dart with the exception of the Dart Sport came with a "Rally" Dash. They all have the short and wide sweep speedometer. If you compare a Dart dash frame to a 69 Barracuda or 1970 Duster dash frame you will see the opening in the metal is larger (longer towards the steering column) for the Barracuda/Duster.

What is your goal with the dash?

Dart Sport never came with a rally dash. The only Darts that had a rally dash were the 1970 Dart Swinger 340's and the 1971 Demon 340's. I believe he mentioned he was looking for a rally dash but couldn't find one.

What you are showing as a "dash" is actually an instrument cluster. The one you have is the stock low line cluster, the Swinger 340 would have a completely different dashboard shell and a ralley instrument cluster. You have to do a lot of changes to make it work. Pull the windshield, unbolt the dash and disconnect the heater controls, defroster hoses, and all the wiring including the bulkhead through the firewall and the connector going to the trunk wiring. Of course spending over $1000 on the complete dash assembly, which is 1970 Swinger 340 specific is just the beginning...

Sure, if you send send me some pictures I'd appreciate it. Do you need my email address or cell number? Can you send some with radio? Where are you located?
Thanks!
