Hello,

I am relatively new to Mopars and this site. I just bought a 67 Barracuda about three half months ago and have progressively been restoring/mod her. She is currently being rewired.

But nonetheless, I have been having trouble trying to decode the panel plate. I have however been able to decipher the VIN.

The numbers for the panel plate:

'abc'
b=4
u=1

'ABC'
D=9
F=7
G=0
S=1
T=4
X=1

AX= 4
TRM=H6K
PNT= WW1
UBS= T

BH29 32 5285 615 02018

Any help on deciphering this will be much appreciated.

Thank You,

Z

That G=0 code does not come up on any decoder I can find.
Does your car have an 8-track, air cleaner package, deluxe seat belts, or does the passenger seat recline? or some other odd option?
Are you missing mirrors, or power steering, or something?
Do you have the build sheet?
Send $45 to Chrysler and let me know when you get the build card.

Welcome to the FABO Family!

The build sheet or broadcast sheet is usually under the rear seat slipped up into the springs: be careful the paper can be very delicate, if it is, get a good digital photo before removing to be safe. Sometimes they are taped to the top of the glovebox insert up under the dash.

That copper interior is beautiful when restored. That is a nice find! Good luck with the build!:cheers:

Sorry for the delay in response. I'm in Tampa Fl.

The Barracuda has power steering,AM/FM radio, other than that nothing extraordinary. I do not have the build sheet...was missing

Some good news though. Today I found a green 70 Dart Swinger. Needs work on the roof and the pass. quarters are damaged pretty bad. Other than that its complete and solid

Is anyone able to decode this from the Dart?

Are you sure this isn't a '71 Dart Custom? Even though you have this decoded all ready, I have been running through the #s for the past 10 minutes and will post my decode. I haven't done one for many years so it was more of an exercise for me.

Update: I figured out this was a '71 Swinger model. I mixed up a couple of #s.

It was easier for me to paste/copy your code info so they may be a bit out of order but you will get the jist of it. Again, I haven't done a decode in awhile so it took me awhile to figure out the codes. Although you said this was a '70 Swinger, everything is pointing at it being a '71 Swinger.
