DEER vs MY DUSTER

-
Oh boy! I see more deer on the highway dead than I do alive. They sure like to get killed..

Has eveyone quit hunting or what?? I have about a 5 mile streach of road before I get to the main highway, at night I have to drive like 30mph, it looks like a freakin petting zoo on the roads around here, almost nailed 2 last night...

Sorry to hear about the car but glad you all are ok.
I don't think the whistles work as I've fixed too many vehicles that had them knocked off when the drivers hit a deer.
I had one customer who insisted they worked but she hit deer on 2 different occasions. Both times one of the whistles was knocked off in the accident. lol

Like it was said earlier, glad you both are OK, I always have a fear of hitting a deer when i come home from a cruz-in, alway on the look out, but ya hardly ever see them coming. I fear hitting one in the Demon more than I do in the Harley.

glad you both are ok! sad thing for the duster but a car can always be repaired

I'd punch that deer square in the nose...

My 18 yr old son came out there with his golf clubs to beat it but the cop was already there so he couldn't take out his frustrations on the poor dead deer.

I'm glad to hear everyone's OK. I've always wondered how my Duster would fare against a deer, now I guess I know! Seriously though deer piss me off, just the other day I was sitting at an intersection and watched as a deer walked up to a 4-foot-tall fence by the road, looked it over a bit, JUMPED OVER like it was nothing, then pranced like a jackass across the five-lane road as though it was a walk through the forest while cars were going by at 40 mph. I actually had to honk my horn several times to get it to hurry up out of my lane. It really makes me wonder why there are smart animals that know to stay away from rolling 2+ ton metal boxes and there are stupid ones that think streets are perfectly safe.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHH thats a frickin nightmare. Glad to see you guys are alright. BUT AHHHHHHHH thats frickin nightmare!

BTW did you at least feed your family with your new found hunting skills?

oh yeah...if any is left. send it to Small Block...he makes the best deer sausage!

Aloha

Did you gut it on the road? yummm...fresh dear meat...

My brother told me about a fellow trucker the guy carried a meat saw with him in his big rig...he'd see a deer on the side of the road and get would start cutting it up. Always carried a big cooler.
