Defective bushing?

So I got the big bushing, front seal, and o-ring replaced in the 904 oil pump housing.

I dug through my rebuild kit to find the new smaller output shaft bushing (sorry, I'm sure these aren't the correct names, but I think ya know what I mean).

I found it, but it is split?

That weird puzzle-piece line is actually an edge that goes all the way through so the part is actually split.

Is that supposed to be like that? The old one doesn't seem to have it. Maybe it's not the right bushing?

Meh. I think I'm just going to leave the old one. Visually, it looks alright and there's no signs apparent to me that is was causing any issues.
