Whats the best way to remove dents (and about 1/2 an inch of bondo) from a '69 Dart trunk lid ?

When it gets light out i can get pics

well its its really mudded up i would take an 8" grinder (mudhog) with a 40 grit disc and get it all down to bare metal again...

then go from there

I've got most of it off just about 3 dents in it

ok get a lighter disc and take the old mud out of the dents if its lifting or there is rust under it... then re mud just those area's

do a rough cut and then skim the area about 8" past the repair area

Ok Thanks! Is it hard to keep the body line down the center ? If i have to i can just put my GTS tail pannel back on.

You need to get the dents out before you start your filler work. Filling 1/2" dents in a trunk lid with body filler is not something you want to do.

i figured knocking the dent out was par for the course but yes... lol... get the dent out or at least close...

the bondo i found in it was about 1/2 in thick and top to bottom side to side span
