Looking at the rear drums on my 67 Barracuda, they are 10 in ( I think) on a 7 1/4 axle. There are no self adjusters, did they have them as standard in 67. Does anyone have a pic of a correctly assembled set - photo or manual page. I can see where the shoes have been modified slightly to fit and re-drilled for the lower spring so need a reference to how they should be.

They should have self adjusters.

Thanks Jim, you're a mine of information !. Looks like another "modification" to the car that I will have to sort out. Thinking of upgrading the rear anyway so I guess this helps the decision along.

Great pics Longgone, found these for sale and have dealt with this guy before so I guess that's an easy fix. Whoever rebuilt the brakes on my car removed the self adjusters and drilled a couple of holes in the shoes, cut the tabs at teh bottom off and ran a return spring so that it sits on the adjuster and keeps it set. Works I guess but it looks to me like all the springs are wrong and I can't get the handbrake to work evenly on both sides.

Some one removed them from my 67 too? I guess they just enjoyed adjusting brakes all the time? It looks like those kits will do the job, I had a heck of a time rounding up all the parts for the self -adjusters. I wish I`d seen those kits a month ago, would`ve made my life easier! lol!
