Did chrysler make a 6/301 ??

Did chrysler make a 6/301, just wondering because I just purchased a couple truck loads of mopar stuff from a guy.and some of the packages and boxes are wrote on (for 6 301), or it this for a bored out block?? Lost here Iam a big block man.

In '55 and '56 there was a 301 Poly V8 standard in the Windsor. The only other six that Chrysler made, besides the slant, was the flathead and I think it topped out around 256 inches. What kind of parts ya got?

I have some roller rockers, some push rods some valve springs and rings rod and mains, stainless valves all new, this guy had nothing but mopar stuff, and i bought it all about 3 months ago and am just now getting to go through some of the boxes of stuff, tried to contact him and family said he died...just really trying to figure out what parts fit.

Could that be a cylinder head casting number?

I thought Mopar had a truck engine that was around 300 inches. Back in the early 60's. It didn't lean.
