I know this is probably a stupid question, but I've seen cars with blue, red, burnt orange, tan, green interiors, and they have always had a matching dash. Yet I dont think I have ever seen a car with a white interior that had a white dash.

Did they actually make any white dashes, or did they always use a black dash if they used a white interior?

Come to think of it, the same question applies to carpeting as well. I;ve never seen a car with a white interior and white carpeting. Did any exist?

No white dashes. Think of the reflection at night from headlights or on a sunny day. The light hits it & reflects back from the glass, making it very hard to see.

I tried it as a kid, it went back to black the next day.

As mentioned above, no white dashes. But they did use red, blue, green as well as black in the white interior cars.
