Did you drive a a body to school?

I got my car when i was 15 for free from one of my dads buddies, he sold it and a duster to a guy who only took the duster so the demon sat in his yard until he told me to get it out of there. My dad and I put a 318 in and a rear end and my grandpa had a rusted out 72 demon in his junkyard that i took the whole interior out of and when I started driving I had a car. It had dog dish police caps at first then I found some cragars for it and drove it like that all through high school

I drove a C body in high school, there were a few A bodys, mostly early 80's hondas and toyotas and stuff though (class of 84)

No.. Vega in school. It was watching all the Mopars at our school that inspired me to buy my first once out of there though

My high school vehicles in order of ownership...

...66 Ford pick-up

...72 340 Cuda

...77 Warlock

...69 Super Bee

Yep, I changed cars more often than my underwear

No, I had a B body. Didn't really want this car at first because it was a 4 door but either drive it or walk and I wasn't about to ride the bus. I got my license in 67 and graduated in 69. Drove it to driver's ed even. Dad gave me 'half' the car for graduation and I paid off the rest. A couple of years later, the poly 318 came out and a mild 383 went in and then it became a lot more fun as a sleeper! I ran it in E/A2 and the small trophy is for a C.O.A.S.T. auto cross in C Stock. I didn't get an A body until 74. It was a 67 Dart that I pieced together from a wrecked 67 Barracuda and a repoed 70 duster. The /6 stick from the Barracuda and the 8 3/4 and interior from the Duster. The Dart was just as fast as the Belvedere was with the 318!

nope... but my son turns 16 in a few weeks... and his first car is going to be ther 1965 dart that I got for him. So he will be driving an A body to school

Drove a 66 valiant to high school and all thru college. Have pieces of that car on my convertible.

No mopar for me. My Dad bought me a 1961 ford falcon my junior year. I paid for it though. Beat the crap out of that poor thing but couldn't kill it!
Bought a 70 340 swinger when I got out of school.

I've been driving my car in my sig pic. Our lot is overrun with an appalling amount of Mustangs. But there is one kid rollin' in a '78 d100 with a 318. I know him from band, he plays trombone. Here's a pic of me and my girlfriend of 4 months on April 16th just before my Junior Prom. I'm 17 and she's 16.

Here's a pic of us in front of her mom's 66 F100, 390 4 barrel and a 3 speed on the tree. Her mom's dad bought it brand new and her mom came home from the hospital in it. My girlfriend hopes to get it someday since she's the oldest.

I bought my girl (73 duster) when I was 15 and was my first car. She started as a 318-904-7-1/4 combo, which then got an 8-1/4, then a 360, then another 360, and I still have her 13 years later with a 451 stroker-727-8-3/4 and the second paint job I have done . I have been through 20 some odd cars in the last few years but she has always stuck around

I graduated from high school in 1991 and drove this dart for my junior/senior year. It was a POS but I steadily fixed it up over the years and I still own it. Its the turbo dart from which my username was inspired by. In the pics its me giving a 86 GN a handful of hurtin' at Carlsbad Raceway (RIP) where it ran low 14s at 100 mph.

Grade 11, 1974, had me driving a 65 Formula S, pearl white with green & gold metalflake & a red interior.

By Grade 12 I'd traded that in on a 68 340 Formula S, red with a maroon & white interior. The abuse that poor cuda took! I beat on it until one day I put a rod out the side of the motor.:angry5:

I drove a 68 formula S 340 4 speed barracuda in 76...nice car...and quick...

Sure did 1974 Duster V8 AT senior year in HS 1979, Owned it 10 or so years sold it and bought it back in 2009?? and am restoring it this year. Great old car brings back many memories from when the wife and i were young.
