I'm looking at a AVS that's the correct year for my 68 Dart and it is a Non A/C carb, 4401. What, if any, is the major difference between this carb and the A/C models, 4635 and 4637? Really can't decide if I want to run the A/C on this rebuild or not. Would be great for long hot trips, but I've got A/C and don't use it in anything I own, as long as the kids aren't in tow. Windows down.

You sure it's "AC" or is it "AT" as in auto transmission?

A/C should have a solenoid on it, that's about the only diff , i could be wrong!! the difference between the auto and 4-speed carb is usually this dashpot that is present on the 4-speeds.

A/C. I'm only looking at Auto models as I will be running a 727. So being that there is a difference, I guess I need to make up my mind which direction I am going. Thanks for the picture. That is your 4-speed carb? Non-A/C?
