i'm aware of the "usuall" method to rid of the trunnion and use the 4x4 type setup.
seems like years ago ( prpbably in MA?) I saw where you can cut off the end of tranny putput shaft and weld to plate to bolt to end of early trans and use the slip yoke type shaft?????
I priced the usual conversion deal and $325-350 even in poor- a-- s w Missouri. wow!
need one for slant and other for 273. NO i'm not a boy racer but would put my foot in the 273 a little! LOL
just wondering??

I understand that is the accepted method. maybe I dreamed it up?? but seems like years ago I saw where the end of tranny output shaft was welded to the round plate bolted to end of tranny and a slip joint used to slide on that????? I read all the mopar rags for decades but weaned myself off them 10 years ago! ( i'm sober!???)

Im sure some one did something like that, but how are you centering it, and then the machining and welding on hardened material.

That would cost more than whats pictured
