dimmer switch

can anybody tell me if you need a dimmer switch in order to operate your headlights? I through out my dimmer switch and my headlights now don't operate, is this my problem? Thanks for your time.

Yeah, I think you do need the floor mounted high beam switch. I might have one if you can't get a new one.

Yes, you need one. It completes the curcuit.

And it needs to be grounded.(the switch)
I found that out when i pulled my dash out and tried to drive to work for a part, and unfortunetly found out that the wipers wont work unless they are grounded to the dash....

The switch doesn't need to be grounded. It simply completes the headlight circuit.
