dipstick o-ring replacement question

I need to replace the dipstick o-ring on my dart - never did it before what do I need to do?

1971 Dart Swinger /6 225 - A904 automatic tranny.

To my knowledge,even with the tranny at the full mark,you can remove the filler tube with
little or no fluid spilling out. Just in case,put a drain pan under the trans.
So you unscrew the mounting bolt,and pull the tube straight out.
Take a razor blade and cut the old O-ring and put the new one on.
Put the tube back in,bolt it down,and your done.

Pull it, clean it and the hole, new oring with lube and put er back in.
