will the disc brake setup off a 74 swinger fit on a 70 ??

Yes, but you need everything from the upper control arms out. And it will change your bolt pattern to 5x4.5".

ok perfect thank you so much. I have a 70 with a slant 6 and I bought a factory v-8 74. I am planned on changing everything from the radiator to the rear end if it would work.

Great article except for the bit on the FMJ spindles. Not relevant in your case if you have a '74 donor, but misinformation just the same. FMJ spindles work just fine too.
