Distributor wiring /6-V8

Hello,

OK, here's the story. I've got a 68 /6 sedan, pulled the motor out and got my hands on a donor (82 5th ave w 318). I've got dropped the v8 in and I'm now noticing the wiring to the distributor is different. Any ideas what I need to change to fire this up?

The distributor seems to have two pairs of wires (two seperate connectors), but the harness from the /6 just has the one. Will this mean I have to change the little black box on the passenger side inner fender?

Any ideas would be great, thanks guys

Does that distributer have a vacuum advance on it ? If not You'll need a different distributer with vac advance and onlt 2 wires, along with the other parts of electronic ignition.

Yeah, 4-wire distributor will be a dual-pickup Lean Burn unit. Most (all?) of these do not have vacuum or mechanical advance. You'll need a single-pickup distributor with vacuum advance.
