I have dual exhaust the runs to 2 mufflers and then direcly to downpipes ending about 1 foot from the gas tank. What's the best (inexpensive) way to go about either extending this to the rear or in front of the rear tires? I have no welder.

Probably try to get in good with a local muffler shop. Tailpipes won't be too bad.

Naw, you're gonna need some bends to go over that axle.

You are not going to home build tail pipes without a welder.

Cheep solution for getting it out from under the car…… Have some 90s bent and dump it in front of the rear tires. You may or may not need to move the mufflers forward for this.

I would save for real tailpipes.

since I just need the pipes after the mufflers I'm hoping it's not too bad price-wise. :/ I used to know a guy who did a full exhaust for my old POS 86 camaro... charged me $230 - that was dual exhaust with flowmaster-ripoffs...

If you gotta hot wife or girlfriend....or both....get um to rub the mufflers and that might "extend" some tailpipes.

Look around the net for exhaust systems, tail pipes specificly.

Flow Master sells a universal exhaust kit for over the axle and maybe for the A body car. I know the have over the axle pipes for the B body.

The universal kits have a multi peice pipe set that you cut to fit and then you can clamp it or weld it. I've used these twice before. Just don't fit the kit with the car on jackstands. Keep the car on the floor or the rear tires on a ramp.
