Bucket, 2 bottles and a guitar string.

Self resetting mouse/rat trap. Set and forget! Put peanut butter on center of roller so they have to venture out onto it to get the goods. Like a floating log, the little bastards will roll off the log into the 5" deep water 10" below and hopefully drown. A ramp will be on side. Hopefully it will catch the vermin in my garage. At least 1 mouse and 1 rat have been spotted in the rafters. Wife is not happy.....

My friend made one like this and caught 15 mice in 1 night at his moms garage out in the country. Moved it to the other side of the house and caught 5 more the second night.

Not as cuddly as a good cat or ten.

I had problems with rats in my rv. Pizza crumbs or some stinky cooked fish work really well as bait. I set a trap with the fish and within 15mins the rat was caught!

Years ago, my room mate came home from work and saw a mouse on our kitchen floor. Looking around we had a wall of beer bottles so he grabbed one and gave it a fling and nailed it, killing him and the bottle didn't break so we got our $.05 back too.

I also keep a break barrel pellet gun within reach for pack rats. 1250 FPS will turn a rodent inside out.

I have had a mouse trap like that for years. I used an old spool for sewing thread to be the bait spinner in the middle. My wife said it was too cruel to let them drown like that after having to swim for hours. She said I should put gas or something in it instead of water to kill them quicker. I told her no, that we live out in the sticks and some little redneck mouse that smokes might fall in and blow the garage up!

Nope, But I did shoot 2 with my BB gun off the back wall. I never know if I got them as they just fall into the abyss of storage crates. I'm gonna move this up into the rafters to see if I can generate some interest. I have to get my red dot laser sight back, shoot them from the hip.
