do i have a gt or no?

i have a 63 dart convertible. i was told it is a gt. it has a gt hood. but that's it as far as GT parts that i can tell. inside doors have 270 emblems. the engine is a 225. it has bench seats. im thinking one of the PO's just installed the gt hood?

The GT package automatically included bucket seats. 270 had a bench as standard.

As I thought. Thanks for confirming my sadness! just kidding! The more I read it looks like there's only asthetics that sets the 270 and gt apart?

Yup, mechanically they are identical

I do have the correct buckets for that car listed on here, in the interior section, if you're interested

The VIN should have a "4" as the second digit if it's a GT and "3" if it's a 270.

GT was an appearance package. They were all hardtops, had bucket seats, and different trim. You could also get a 270 as a hardtop.
