I am talking about the tail shaft bushing that the slip yoke rides directly on in the tail shaft.

what I meant about taking out the yoke, where the cap goes in the yoke was a little loose. I saw a slight movement when I lifted on the driveshaft but I will check it. The driveshaft ends are ok. they are in phase. I learned that a long time ago driving a semi. That causes a mean vibration in a truck. I should know tonight how this will play out.

wallowed out. What a great word, and a perfect description.I wonder if one of the front engine mount brackets is on the wrong side of the engine tabs.
