Do I must remove the drivers side header?

I am beginning to take out the starter motor (it is a 1998 Dakota style) and before I get into it I would like to know if anyone has removed this style of starter from the engine. It is a 360 small block and it has the power steering. The headers are from Hooker 1 5/8 diameter.
I was wondering if the drivers side header has to come out, or at the most loosed up.

Not sure about those headers. On my 66 Barracuda with headers and a mini starter, I'm able to get the starter out by turning the steering to one side or the other to open up a hole in the steering components.

My 66 with the 273- same thing as above.
Disconnect the battery first. It is tight but the starter comes out.
I’m running Doug’s headers.
