do I need to change my pro. valve??

I am converting my drum brakes to power drum until I have the money to change it to disc.Do I need to find a proportioning valve from a car with power brakes? Or can I use the valve I have?

I would think that you could use your current valve.

Drum cars don't have a prop valve. All they have is a combo dist. block and warning lamp switch. Also power/ non power should not reflect the relationship of front to rear, so even if you had disk, going non to power should not affect the prop.
