My car is nearing “completion” and something that’s been making me nervous is my tans dipstick. I don’t need a fire but I might just be paranoid. Do you call secure the dipstick to the firewall or jet stick it in the transmission and go about your business?

I've been driving Mopars all my life and this is the first time I've ever heard of securing the dipstick to the firewall?

If yoummean the tube it should bolt to a bell housingbbolt, if you mean the stick itself is blowing out your vent may be clogged.

The stick should have a lug on it, when it's in the proper position it should be aligned with a transmission mounting hole

I'm glad you found time for the car. Keep it and have fun.

I’m surprised you remembered that. I’ve been busy helping plan the wedding and honeymoon and between that and Turkey hunting it’s been difficult. Got over to the shop today and got the new master cylinder which is good progress. Just got to run the new lines to the brakes, hook up throttle linkage, install a new seal kit on the transmission and a couple other small things and it will be wrapped up. Im going to be driving it away from the wedding no matter what.
