well you my friend have more balls then I lol.....I would be even more weery of using just straig primer being that its a porus paint and obsorbant.
I am sure that if the engine was opened up today that the primer would probably not still be stuck to the inside of the block and that it was just luck that it did not plug and passages.
I personally will not go that route but hey....if thats what you like doing and it worked for you...then more power to you!.
