Usually the drivers side, right under the head??? Stamped into the flat machined spot?
Follow up on previous message: on my 69 barracuda's 360 (from some 1976 car or truck), there is a boss for VIN number immediately above the oil pan surface, and just below the date stamp. For VIN decoding purposes, typical mopar VINs from 69 would start with V (valiant), L (dart), B (barracuda), R (sattelite), W (coronet, charger). Hope this helps.
