Pretty basic question. Does anybody know if these Byrna non-lethal gas pellet guns are legal in Canada? They do not shoot bullets, they shoot round pellets that have something similar to tear gas in them. Thanks

What on earth would you need any kind of weapon for in Canada?

Case of beer, ounce of decent pot, . . . you're all good .
Welcome to Canada .

Looks like they are legal in Canada, however, Id be willing to bet the the canadian customs nazis confiscate it anyways if trying to import it from the US, best to buy from inside Canada if possible
FAQ.

True but in Canada lethal=jail.
Not if you can show that you thought that "grievous bodily harm " was about to come to you. In Canada, contrary to popular belief, we do have the right to self defense, we can meet force with equal force, if you think that someone is going to kill you or your family, you can kill them first, its when you exceed the expected force that it gets sticky, ie you shoot them in the back as they are running away, once the threat is neutralized, you must back off.
But thats a topic for another discussion :)

Back in good ole Missouri, the Country Sheriff's take was shoot the SOBs and toss their bodies in a line sink hole, and do not bother calling his office. Really. There was not much thief ( none unless someone from outside the county that had no clue) in the county. Just dopers selling wacky weed.
