I saved these and don’t know why or remember where they came from. Anyone recognize where they might go on my 71 Duster?

They might not even be for my duster but they are in a drawer with front end hardware. They measure .7” which would be for a 11/16 bolt? 1.5” across.

Boy you save some junk. In 40 years of working on these cars… I’ve yet to see a washer cut off like that. Good luck in your quest.

I actually don’t that’s what has me confused of why I saved them. They came off of something and do not appear to have been cut off with a cut off wheel, they look like they are made this way. If they aren’t for my build I’ll quit worrying about where they go.

Cheap washer. It got caught in the die when it was stamped out. Most all Mopar factory washers were part of the bolt.

“Clipped” washers are a thing. I bought some a few weeks back for a task on a race car where there was not enough clearance on the edge of washer when it was fully round. Sometimes we take them to the belt sander and flatten an edge…

I used some of those on the rear Qa1 shocks on my 73 Challenger

Somebody planned to use them on the LCA pivot shafts, either to weld in place, or just spread the load out possibly??

They could have came off of your replaced rear upper shock bolt. They could have been used when someone installed B-body rear shocks on the rear to compensate for the small diameter upper eye.

Or a washer under the upper ball joint nut to space the castle down so the cotter pin fits correctly in the castle window.

Definitely not a Factory washer.

Those were one month only and were installed in 440 nascar hemi's.

They were sitting right next to my LCA pin nuts so that could very well be.

My guess is body shims. Ive seen many guys use washer for sheet metal shims and cut off the extra so it wont stick out like in the bottom of the fenders
