I never liked the sound of the Mopar starter and the first time I heard the Dakota-mini, I was on the hunt for a cheap used one,.
Thanks for posting a link so I and others could just click and buy. I grabbed one up. I am sure someone may come along and say dude ya paid to much, later. Here's a lug kit that's available on eBay.

absolutely yes. It did on my 73 Duster and on my 75 Dart sport. I miss that distinctive sound, but every start is easier.Title says it. While I think the change to the Dakota starter is a great idea for lots of reasons, I don't want to change the essesntial sounds that my 66 Barracuda always had. Will this change it a lot?
7 lb makes a difference when I'm squeezing the starter between the header and block, moving it into position and starting the bolts. While lying on my back.Well 7 lbs isn't much when I replaced the cast crank /6 in my truck with a forged crank version.
There's more than "+7" lbs difference there... And adding factory AC to a truck that was never previously equipped. 7lb don't mean much ...
