I found this for sale for $2500. Supposedly has 6000 miles since it was rebuilt. The rings were also gapped for NOS, but hasn't had NOS run in it. Does it sound like a good deal? Seems like it to me. Does 420 HP sound like an accurate claim? Thanks, Dave
P.S. Thanks to those who talked me out of trying to build my 273, if there are deals like this on 360's.

Sounds like alot of gray area...
$2,500 is not change. I would get alot more information along with who did the work on the motor. 420 HP? With what shot or is that all motor?
Has it been on the dyno?

Unless you are close enough to hear it run, or know the guy, I wouldnt consider any used engine what it is billed. Not a cut on used stuff, but it's hard to convince someone to take it all apart because you don't believe them. My $.02

I retarded the cam 2 degrees off lunaties center line so she would run on pump piss I meen gas. plus my ignition timing set to just barely run on pump no pinging or knocking. I painted it all blue when I put it in the truck for the stock sleeper look.I never did have it dynod but edlbrock did a build up of a 340 with less cam compression and cid. to the tune of 420hp this thing's a beast in my truck and was a rocket in my 3100 lb car I had it in"

Better hope it sonic checked good boring it .060 over or you'll have a 360 you can't keep cool. Also it should have been balanced using KB pistons cause their allot lighter than stock. Make him show you receipts!!!
