The top collar is for our invisible fence here at home in Tallahassee.

Below: Sacked out on a couch at our log cabin in Hoboken. Georgia, not New Jersey.

Brown dog is Hermione. Black dapple is Luna. Both Miniature Dachshunds. Luna is daddy's girl. She wants to be with me 24/7.

My best friends dog from 35 1/2 years ago this is my eldest daughter who turned 38 at Christmas, he was a full blood Irish wolf hound my daughter in this picture was about 18 months old.
The brown kelpie is my wife’s dog he is 4 years old, the other is my bull Arab cross Great Dane who is 7 years old and spent from 6 months old to 2 years old in the pound, she does not know she is a dog I don’t think as she does not behave like one, we think she was maybe the runt of the litter and initially bought as a handbag type dog, as her name is Gucci, both are 5 foot long from nose to tail but the kelpie is from the outback he is about an inch taller at the shoulder

Pierce always had something to say - epilespy alert service dog gone for some years - then came Harley - he spent a year with Pierce - and Hazel arrived after Pierce went away.

My Riley born 11.02.08. My first dog ever. Wife and her neice wanted to get a puppy. I didn't. He was pitiful looking I thought, but I knew as soon as we went in to look at him, he would be going home with us. Then I became his caretaker and he became mine. Now 15 years later he is nearly blind and deaf, maybe has dimentia, I don't know. Those beautiful brown eyes are clouded over. I have to guide him everywhere he goes.
And then we got Belle, born 05.28.11. She was such a beautiful little girl that came pre-programmed with manners. She wouldn't do anything without checking with me to be sure it was ok. Until Friday 01.12.23, I still thought of her as a puppy. That morning, she may have passed out from lack of blood flow or had a seizure. Vet checked her out. Bloodwork all good, but she has a grade IV heart murmur. Just a few months ago, it was grade I. X-rays show enlarged heart. She had another episode Friday afternoon.
My heart is breaking already as I know I won't have them very much longer.

You might be right about the Great Dane. He does look very humanly comfortable on the couch!
