dougs electric cutouts?

My set up is a 360 with Doug's headers, I will be building a 2.5" x pipe system , and I'm kicking around doing some cut outs in the system, I'm not looking for the actual y pipes included because I'm a fabricator and will make my own but I'm looking for the actuator assembly, I've seen some that are the y pipe combos but I'm not interested in those as much. I've come across quite a few and read some not so good things about some, but I recently came across some Dougs actuators with a nice design that look like they should provide a good seal, turns out jegs has them for 200 bucks a piece but was hoping I could hear from some one with personal experience with these?

There's no way to add a megaphone type tip on the end, as there is no flange to weld it to. Cutouts benefit greatly with the addition of a small megaphone style tip, much like horned musical instruments.
