I believe at one time the were making arms for Hughes engines. They are a quality manufacturer from what I understand. I wouldn’t run them in a street engine though.

Dove was a good brand name. Im not sure about now tho. And yeah, at least part of that family was deadly serious about preserving the racing heritage of Ford FE motors.... i think they even secured original ford casting molds for some of the motor parts. IIRC, the family didnt really keep it together tho, and some of their namesake has been sold off???

My 470 stroker has the Mopar Performance rockers with out a bushing for about 20 years. Had a few thousand street miles and a few thousand runs at the track. Over 700 lbs over the nose. Shifted at 7000 n/a. Then with nos 8000 rpm. Never a problem. Kim

Got any pictures of that rocker?

The MP aluminum rockers, prior to them becoming a licensed item from Proform, were made by Crane.
Same basic rockers that Crane sold under their own name, and countless sets of those were put into service through the years.
Crane rated them at 600 lbs open load.
They were essentially the default street/ss/basic bracket race rockers for years.

No bushings.

So like the Crane gold?

What is the best alternative now?

i know the indy Dove rockers are not the best quality , i have been running a set for 15 years on a sft cam without problems Yet . when i hear of them breaking i often wonder how bad there geometry is off and how much they were ground on to make them work .
