Dragweek 2021

I got linked to this thread by a FBBO member. I'm having a Bill Mitchell aluminum RB block built into a 572 stroker and I'm going to start with it topped with my Promax modded 6bbl Holley carbs and the Indy ModMan single plane intake for my 70 V-code Roadrunner.
I was expressing interest in doing a "drag week" event for fun and he sent me here.
I'm at work now but I'll check out the thread. Thanks
 
I am signed up for dragweek 2022 but since they switched all the tracks around I'm not quite as excited about it. I've been to all the tracks they are now going to. Contemplating doing Rocky Mountain Race Week 2.0 instead. Not sure yet, I'll keep you guys posted with what I decide.

I see there is "concern about the closure of Memphis International Raceway". That caught my attention especially because my wife (a 1320 'enthusiast' and occasional participant in her 1965 421 Tripower GTO) and I took the trip there from South Louisiana for a Street Outlaws No Prep Kings event 4 years ago. It was in July, HOT as all get out, even for us who live in "the swamp", and a lot of fun. A significant bonus was the Street Outlaws Memphis group (they were not in the 'official' event) having a real deal street race night, no police, no Discovery Channel cameras, on the road by the huge shipping container facility you can see is their "venue" from the show. We talked with some of the people from the Memphis group and they were friendly and cool to be around.
Anyway, we thought it was a nice track, so if it's closing permanently that would be a real loss.
